Between Game Protocols – Please be reminded that the state protocols for the time between games of a doubleheader require at least one official to be present during the warm-ups for the second game. Once all three officials have exited the visual confines of the playing area to end their jurisdiction for the 1st game, one official should immediately return to the court to begin supervising the warm-ups for the 2nd game.
Pre-game Meeting – Please be reminded not to tell teams how to play at any stage of the game. Complaints have been received in this regard. Do not instruct teams on how to play at the end of the game. The coaches are responsible for that. Just cover the required items, uniform legality and sportsmanship, obtain the numbers of the speaking captains and try to establish a relationship with the captains and coaches. It may be helpful to point out where the coaching box is.
