Slapping The Backboard…It is a technical foul if a player slaps the backboard while a try or a tap is in flight, or is touching the backboard or is in the basket or is in the imaginary cylinder above the basket.
The purpose of the rule is to penalize intentional contact with the backboard. A player who contacts the backboard so forcefully should normally be assessed a technical foul.

Warnings
There are now three separate categories of warnings. They are delay of game (five possibilities), bench decorum (Rule 4-48) and faking being fouled. Each category is separate from the others. This means that a warning in one, say delay of game, does not affect an occurrence in a different category such as faking being fouled. A team is allowed one warning in each category. So, it is possible to have three different warnings on a single team in a game.
The following is a suggested way for this information to be recorded in the scorebook.
The info recorded includes an identifier for the infraction, the quarter that the infraction occurred as well as the time. This can be a valuable tool if questions should arrive later in the game about whether a specific category has occurred.
