Signals Certainly one of the important aspects for good officiating is good communication. One area for good communication is the use of appropriate signals, that is, signals that are appropriate to the high school game. An official’s credibility is enhanced when he/she use signals that clearly communicate what has transpired.

The online NFHS exam is available. Passing grade is 70. You have three opportunities to pass the exam. This is an open book exam. You can get help from anywhere and anyone. This exam certifies you for varsity level assignments. It has nothing to do with your rating.
At this time, the plan is for a normal winter season. That means that practice will start for basketball on November 2nd. Scrimmages will start on November 9th. Preseason tournaments can begin the weekend before Thanksgiving. The regular season will begin on the Monday after Thanksgiving.
