Throw-in Spots According to the Rules Book, most designated spot throw-ins are to be made from the nearest spot out of bounds to the foul or violation that created the throw-in need. Coaching Boxes Coaches are to be limited to the coaching boxes. Observations of early season games indicate that we need to do a better job of making sure the coaches stay out of the red zone unless invited there by you. A polite reminder is appropriate. Pre-game Protocols After meeting with the coaches and team captains, the officials should return to their original positions across from the table and remain there until it is time to throw up the jump ball.
